Truly A Great Family Adventure
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 3rd annual Village At Pigeon Lake Kids Pirate Party. It was a huge success again this year and we had a beautiful day! There were 180 children who hunted for loot, made a craft, got their faces painted and bounced on the giant Pirate Ship Bounce House. Parents had fun too discovering the forest, our beautiful walking paths, and all of the hidden treasures they found in our stores and restaurants.
The party started a 11 am and treasure hunters continued to hunt until 3 pm. For just $2.00, each treasure hunter received a Village Shopping Bag that included a FREE Ice Cream Cone Coupon and a clue list that guided them trough the quest. ONE Dollar from every bag sold goes to Bosom Buddies, thanks again!
The hunt began with treasure hunters collecting items to create a Pirate Suit to wear so that they could go safely into the forest to find gold bars, coins and jewels. Pigeon Lake Pirates were guarding the loot and they shared it only with young Village Pirates wearing their badges and suits! Read The Hunt Sheet.
When all the hunting was finished, the treasure hunters came back for Cupcakes and ice cream. Thanks to the Village Market for the awesome cup cakes, to the Covenant Bay Camp for the Face Painting & Popcorn and to Ruth Bryant for her wonderful Kids Plaster Crafts! A fun time was had by all, come on back next year for some more swashbuckeling fun!
If you attended this event, please post your comments. We would love to hear your thoughts, we are always striving to make our events fun for everyone!
